This is the best dental practice in New York City. I moved away and had to go back. The care is phenomenal! They have a great team! If you need a crown, it can be done in house while you wait. The staff is great about reaching out to your insurance and taking care of all the paperwork.

Advantages of Same-Day Crowns

The entire dental crown procedure takes place from start to finish during one dentist appointment with Dr. Trotter. In fact, this makes it possible to undergo a complete root canal and restoration in just one convenient visit.

Your permanent crown will be ready in about an hour while you relax and enjoy Netflix or Pandora radio.

No Temporary Crown

You will receive your permanent crown before you leave, so there is no need to fit your tooth with a temporary crown.

Can Save Money

Everything is done at our Brooklyn dental practice, so you will not pay outside lab fees. Since this approach to the dental crown procedure only takes one visit, there is no need to take extra time off from work.

No Metal Alloys

Dr. Trotter's same-day crowns are milled on-site from high-grade dental porcelain. This is great for patients who have metal allergies or who do not want a metallic-looking crown next to their natural teeth.

More CEREC Advantages

This advanced tool:

  • Produces other customized same-day restorations, such as porcelain veneers, to cover front teeth imperfections.
  • Uses precise 3-D digital impressions of your teeth to design and create restorations that achieve a precise and comfortable fit.
  • Eliminates the need to bite into a messy dental tray filled with putty in order to take impressions of your teeth.

The Traditional Crown Procedure

Dr. Trotter also offers traditional crowns made from top-quality, metal-free materials that mimic the appearance of natural enamel. Depending on your goals and budget, your traditional crown can be created from IPS e.max® ceramic, IPS Empress® porcelain, or Prettau® zirconia, some of the strongest, most lifelike materials in dentistry. This dental crown procedure is as follows:
Dr. Trotter will make sure your crown fits properly and blends flawlessly with your smile before bonding it securely in place.
Dr. Trotter will make sure your crown fits properly and blends flawlessly with your smile before bonding it securely in place.
Once numbing anesthetic is administered, Dr. Trotter will skillfully remove decayed or damaged tissue and reshape your tooth so the crown forms a secure bond and remains in proper alignment with surrounding teeth.
Precise impressions of the treated tooth and surrounding teeth will be taken and sent to a trusted outside lab.
Dr. Trotter will now fit you with a temporary crown to wear while your permanent one is being created at the lab.
When your permanent crown is finished, in about three weeks, you will return to our practice for your second appointment. Dr. Trotter will make sure the crown fits properly and blends flawlessly with your smile before bonding it securely in place.
